Don’t let Costa Rica’s small size fool you: this tiny country, wedged between the Pacific to the west and the Caribbean to the east, is crammed full of some of the most diverse landscapes and breathtaking natural wonders Latin America has to offer, all within mere hours of each other.

On an etr Costa Rica Learning Adventure, we’ll trek through lush rainforests overflowing with brilliant tropical flowers and learn about the habits of birds and native animals you’ve never even heard of. We’ll feel the exhilaration of our sky trek through the cloud forest canopy and learn of the competition and cooperation of the species in this spectacular ecosystem. We’ll explore the Arenal region by horseback which, not so long ago, was the primary mode of transportation in Costa Rica. We’ll share our energy and enthusiasm during our community service activities at a local school. We’ll dive under thundering waterfalls, learn to dance the salsa, hike across lava fields, traverse exhilarating rapids while white water rafting, explore and soak in natural hot springs, stopping along the way to restore our energy with CR’s tasty exotic fruits and juices and, of course, churros. Bliss.
