Two words, Greg: Utterly unforgettable…(etr programme leader) Carole was awesome and the only criticism I have is that she did not want to organize the loss of all our passports on the last day. As I will be the new Head of School next year, you can be assured that we will be using your services again.
I’m writing to let you know how much I appreciate all the work that went into planning the (Italy) trip for us.
(etr leader) Arianna was excellent!! She was flexible when necessary, but always in conversation with myself and the other chaperone. She was also very aware of the itinerary and the requests we had made ahead of time, which I really appreciated. She took great care of us and I would absolutely request her again when SIS does another art trip in the future.
Everything seemed so smooth.
The hotel in Florence was excellent. The staff were kind and accommodating (even the students noted this), the breakfast varied and substantial, and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
The gelato stop at Vivoli was really special–thank you! The surprise was exciting for students, and the gesture was appreciated by all of us. Students specifically mentioned this in our final reflection at the end of the trip.
The tour guides at specific sites had a good energy level and pace for high school students. I would request all of them again. They were responsive to the students and kept us moving.

Having organized nine trips to Greece with etr since 2012, I can confidently say that their programme consistently delivers an exceptional experience for our students. What sets etr apart is the balance between exploring iconic historical sites – from the Acropolis and Ancient Agora to Delphi, Mycenae, and Sparta – and engaging in bespoke, hands-on activities such as Greek dancing, pankration demonstrations, hoplite re-enactments, and even a football match with local Spartan students. These moments bring history to life in a way that simply cannot be replicated in the classroom!
etr has always worked closely with me to tailor each trip to our specific needs, and their organization, attention to detail, and professionalism are second to none. The quality of their local guides and on-the-ground representatives is outstanding and having worked with the same etr programme leader on all nine trips, it genuinely feels like a partnership built on trust and friendship. Our students even receive personalized T-shirts with their names in Greek, which speaks to the care and thought that goes into every aspect of the experience.
Quite simply, this trip has become a cornerstone of our Middle School programme, and one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences we offer our students!
Dear Fanny, Thank you, we had a great trip. Arianna was very kind, helpful, and responsive to the things and changes we needed. The marbling workshop was excellent; the leather workshop and the madonnari street art were also good. The other activities were great (Leonardo exhibit, Duomo, Accademia and Uffizi Gallery, Museo Novocento). The cooking class was excellent. The accommodation was fine as well.
We hope to repeat this trip next year with a very similar itinerary – and hopefully with Arianna again. Thanks so much, Fanny.
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the effort and support you and your team have put into organizing our recent trip to Tokyo. The students had a blast and the memories created will be cherished for a long time – Sumo was the highlight of the trip.

Our WOW trip to Cape Town was amazing adventure for our students. The activities and service work were very well planned, and overall, it was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.
