One of the great things about working at etr is the importance we place on selecting the right accommodation for our groups, and for many of etr’s Eastern European and Middle East destinations, this responsibility is mine.

Moscow is a city on the rise and on the move; the pulsing heart of a nation that is still seeking to define its true character after years of Soviet rule.  From the soaring domes of St. Basil’s cathedral to the labyrinthine, ornate Metro, Russia’s cosmopolitan capital offers startling beauty, overwhelming history, and rich culture that rivals anything in the West.

In Moscow we begin where Russia begins, in Red Square naturally.  With the colorful St Basil’s cathedral at one end, the square is the heart of the capital and it is from here we step behind the imposing walls of the Kremlin.  Inside its fabled cathedrals and extensive collections at the Armory, we begin to understand the historical foundations of this grand and imposing country.
