It was this last group which left perhaps the most notable mark on the city, constructing the impressive and opulent structures atop “Castle Hill.” The illustrious coffeehouses of Budapest offer a brief break from sightseeing, while the National Theatre and Opera House add a taste of more modern culture to this city’s rich historic traditions.
